This coffee is no longer sold by Nerd Java, though we hope to someday bring it back. This region experienced heavy rainfall and mudslides, which destroyed crops. Our Sumatra coffee comes in both Dark Roast and Medium Roast variations.
This Sumatra coffee comes straight from the highest valleys in Takengon, a town in the highlands of Aceh.
The high altitude of 1600 masl and cold evening temperatures hinder the coffee ripening process.
This allows more fruit sugars and sweetness to develop in the beans.
